From /var/log/syslog attached to [1]:

It works with the wheezy 7.1 CD.
Maybe it has to do with mtdev? The following line is in the jessie 
Xorg.0.log, but not in the wheezy one.
evdev: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad: Using mtdev for this device

Also the 'Found absolute multitouch axes' is not present in the wheezy 
log (attached).
