getting syslinux 3:6.02 from experimental to testing

Hi all,
Please CC me if somebody responds as I'm not subscribed to the list/s.

Does anybody have/know of a roadmap to getting the latest syslinux
perhaps the one which is now in experimental to testing ? This is with
reference to the UEFI issues which people have been facing while
installing Debian in new lappies. I had read sometime back the 3.6.x
releases have some important fixes for the same. Or perhaps a future
3.x release which would be integrated for jessie, any ideas anybody ?

$ apt-show-versions -a syslinux
syslinux:amd64 3:6.02~pre16+dfsg-2 install ok installed
syslinux:amd64 3:4.05+dfsg-6+deb7u3 testing      debian.ec.as6453.net
syslinux:amd64 3:4.05+dfsg-6+deb7u3 unstable     debian.ec.as6453.net
syslinux:amd64 3:6.02~pre16+dfsg-2  experimental debian.ec.as6453.net
syslinux:amd64/experimental 3:6.02~pre16+dfsg-2 uptodate

I am planning to buy a Haswell-based lappy come this Nov. so having
the newer syslinux is supposedly part of the solution. There may be
other things which need to be updated in order to have a successful
install in a UEFI world.

Looking forward to know.
