Comments/Problems: I have Debian Squeeze running on 5 other machines--all fairly new Dell desktops on laptops, with virtually no problems. Just bought this new Optiplex the other day, but can't install Debian because of this lack of NIC driver.

Hi,

thank you for your installation-report you send quite some time ago.

Quite probably your issue has been addressed by now, if it hasn't please open 
a new bug report, so that we can re-investigate the issue.
