I was not able to find the file anywhere on the web, but I was able to carry on the install using the integrated wireless adapter (an Atheros AR9285). After completing the install and rebooting, the ethernet adapter works fine without any special firmware file (although I keep getting a line "r8169 0000:01:00.0: eth0: unable to load firmware patch rtl_nic/rtl8168d-1.fw (-2)" in dmesg). -- Please make sure that the hardware-summary log file, and any other installation logs that you think would be useful are attached to this report. Hi, many thanks for submitting an installation report! Even though I'm now mass- closing them as successful, rest assured that they were and are useful: during development they have been read to confirm things are actually working and now people find them when searching for whether a particular hardware is supported. If you have reported minor glitches have made sure that these are known+reported issues (probably by not closing that particular successful report with glitch where I'm not sure its reported.) cheers, HolgerAttachment: signature.asc
