Comments/Problems:

I have the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 wireless card, which
requires firmware to work. I copied firmware.tar.gz to a USB stick,
but the installer could not find it. Looking at the instructions
again, it seems that I have to unpack firmware.tar.gz for the
detection to work. It would be nice if the installer knew to try to
unpack firmware.tar.gz to find the needed hardware.

In any case, with the firmware, the hardware works well.

The tablet functionality seem to work fine, though I do not know a
good way to change the orientation. In Gnome, using "System
Settings/Displays", if you rotate the orientation, the pen coordinates
do not get mapped correctly (up is left, down is right, etc.).
Annoyingly, I had to manually set up the eraser in Gimp and Xournal.

If I boot with monitors connected to the VGA and DisplayPort ports,
then the monitor and laptop screens flash with some error messages but
can never decide where to display anything. If I pull out the VGA and
DisplayPort connectors, then it settles down and displays on the
laptop. Once that is done, I can reconnect the displays and set them
up with "System Settings/Displays" in Gnome.

The equivalent setup works fine with my Thinkpad X220T with Intel HD
3000, so I am guessing that the HD 4000 is not fully supported yet.

I was getting random freezes of the whole system. It seemed to happen
when doing more graphical activity. My guess is that it is something
like bug #677444. I upgraded to the kernel 3.4-trunk-amd64 from
experimental, and I have not had any more freezes. I still have the
problem with multiple monitors.

Cheers,
Walter Landry
