Bug#695945: quik-installer returns error during debian-installer

Package: quik-installer
Version: 0.0.30
Severity: normal
Tags: d-i

I'm installing wheezy on an emulated PowerPC machine (qemu-system-ppc
1.2.1, g3beige hardware) from debian-wheezy-DI-b4-powerpc-netinst.iso.
Everything in d-i goes fine until the "Install quik on a hard disk"
step, which fails with an error. But if I choose "Continue without a
bootloader" and bypass the scary warning about an unbootable system,
the machine boots just fine. So apparently the error is spurious.

Possibly relevant excerpt from /var/log/installer/syslog:
