Comments/Problems:

I was trying netinst over WiFi (WPA2-PSK).

Strictly speaking this was not an error, but the installer prompted to
provide firmware. Either iwlwifi-6000g2a-6.ucode or
iwlwifi-6000g2a-5.ucode, I'm sorry I did not remember exactly which.
When I initially tried installing with a netinst CD without firmware,
the installer prompted for both (and without providing them the
subsequent install procedure failed), but with the CD with firmware it
asked for just one of these. I went ahead without supplying firmware
manually, but the WiFi was working and the install went without any
glitch.

<Description of the install, in prose, and any thoughts, comments
and ideas you had during the initial install.>

This is a known behaviour (even not optimal though), and is already
documented in the installation manual.

Thus closing this bug.
