Package: kbd-chooser Version: 1.62 Severity: minor Tags: d-i Hello, When running the d-i in auto-install mode, the keyboard inside the installer environment is not configured, even if the settings in the preseed file are made. The reason is the kbd-chooser.isinstallable file, which prevents the execution of kbd-chooser.postinst in the case of an automatic installation. Just to be clear: this does not affect the keyboard layout of the installed system, just the layout used in the installer environment. The kbd-chooser.isinstallable is supposed to delay configuration, but it prevents it completely for me. My installer configuration: Used this installer: http://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/squeeze/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/mini.iso The kernel parameters are: auto=true priority=critical vga=normal initrd=initrd.gz -- quiet A preseed file was added to the initrd on the iso file. Short term fix: in the preseed file, the user can add this line: d-i preseed/early_command string /var/lib/dpkg/info/kbd-chooser.postinst Long term fix: either remove the *.isinstallable script from the list of maintainer-scripts, or fix the "delaying" this is supposed to do.
