#debian may be the first-level IRC support for d-i, but #debian-boot is
the second level support. I have no problem with the manual not
prominently mentioning #debian-boot, but we have always welcomed users with
non-obvious problems in the channel, often forwarded there from #debian.
Just as we welcome users with problem reports in this mailing list.

I completly disagree with Marc Haber's attempts to paint us as
user-hostile and incapable of supporting users. As Christian points out,
it smacks of elistism. I've reviewed my past month's logs and I see
many instances of user support by people including Phil, Ben, and Colin.
