Hi:

I'm not subscribed to the debian-boot list, hence I send this message
directly to you. I too came across to this bug when I did a fresh
install with the netboot image downloaded today. I've managed to boot
using the "nomodeset" parameter and then installed the latest 2.39
kernel image. I rebooted into the 2.39 kernel and had no problems
whatsoever.
