Package: debootstrap
Version: 1.0.26
Severity: minor

debootstrap currently defaults to ftp.us.debian.org for the mirror.
This is not a particularly good default for anyone outside the US.

cdn.debian.net would be a better default, since it automatically
chooses the mirror closest to the user. Would it be possible to default
to that?

As cdn.debian.net it's not an official Debian service and there are several concerns using this by default there's no point in keep the bug open.
Hence, closing.
