Subject: rootskel: serial console detection is broken
User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.6+20040722i

It looks like rootskel's new serial console detection is broken, at
least for 2.2 kernels on m68k/mac.

The real problem is that /lib/debian-installer/detect-console,
called from /lib/debian-installer-startup.d/S30term, defines

	`readlink /proc/self/fd/0` = /dev/console

as a serial console and that is precisely what is detected during a
non-serial install.

I don't know what that code should be because I can't currently do
serial installs.

Please help.

Thanks,

Stephen
