The "wheezy" and "sid" versions determine the version of d-i used in
each case. "wheezy" uses the last known-good d-i image from the
archive (aka squeeze release at the moment). "sid" uses the latest
build from the porters for each architecture.
The d-i team hasn't yet done a wheezy/testing release, so the latest
version of d-i in the archive is the version used for squeeze. The
build from sid will contain the very latest commits from d-i
developers, including lots of newer things: newer kernel, newer
features and (potentially) newer bugs.

Currently they're using the sid build. The page at
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/weekly-builds/
normally says which installer is currently used, but I must have
removed that by mistake when editing the file. Updated now.

They're created by a different process/config. The names "daily" and
"weekly" are merely confusing names for the two different sets of
builds we do:
* the "small" CDs (business card, netinst) which are produced twice
per day
* the "large" CD sets (CD, DVD, BD, alternate CD#1) which are
normally produced once per week, on a Monday
There are small CDs built on a Monday as well, we just don't publish
them in the same directory as the full CD sets.
