Re: Install Wheezy with Squeeze installer on PowerPC

You can install Squeeze with netinst ISO, and then upgrade needed packages before reboot, like latest 1.3.16 yaboot from wheezy/sid.

And then upgrade whatever else.

What would I need to do to install Wheezy with a Squeeze installer on
PowerPC? I thought of downloading CD1 of the stable powerpc installer
and change all udebs into wheezy ones (with its own dist folder
"wheezy" and linker "testing" linking to wheezy and add a
preseed.cfg file wherein it is made clear that the target system should
be testing while using the stable installer:

# Suite to install.
d-i mirror/suite string testing
# Suite to use for loading installer components (optional).
d-i mirror/udeb/suite string stable

Can you give me some advise if I am going in the right direction or that
I am missing something completely.
Doesn't the daily build work for you? Why would you want to use the
squeeze installer?
