Package: debootstrap
Version: 1.0.27
Severity: important

Hi

Since today[1], ftp-master doesn't generate md5 checksums for Release/
InRelease anymore, thereby breaking debootstrap for all suites which
got rebuilt since the change (wheezy/ sid, squeeze hasn't been
regenerated yet).

# debootstrap --arch=amd64 --variant=minbase --verbose sid /mnt/ http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian
I: Retrieving Release
E: Invalid Release file, no entry for main/binary-amd64/Packages

Using different target architectures has no effect, while switching to
as-of-yet-unsynched mirrors (like ftp.at.debian.org) succeeds.

Regards
	Stefan Lippers-Hollmann

Description:
debootstrap - Bootstrap a basic Debian system
debootstrap-udeb - Bootstrap the Debian system (udeb)
Closes: 598729 614315
Changes:
 debootstrap (1.0.28) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   [ Miguel Figueiredo ]
   * Fix for ar usage, thanks to Guillem Jover. Closes: #598729
 .
   [ Joey Hess ]
   * Remove 5 second sleeps when debootstrap finds additional required
dependencies. d-i just got that much faster.
   * Use SHA checksums. Defaulting to SHA256, and configurable by
     SHA_SIZE environment variable. Closes: #614315
   * If a sha256sum program is not available, fall back to sha1sum.
This is to support debootstrap use on embedded systems, which are more
     likely to have the latter.
   * Avoid new(?) warning from dpkg about missing Maintainer field when
     feigning install of a package.
