The Installer cannot inititialize the Broadcom NetXtreme LAN adapter
because the missing firmware bnx2-06-4.0.5.fw is non-free and not
available in the standard Debian Repository (or on the Netinstall-CD). I
did download the firmware from somewhere , untared it and placed it to
the root and to the directory /firmware on an USB-Stick in different
ways (placing the whole unpacked stuff there or placing the file itself
there) - with no success: The installer doesn't find the firmware. I
found, that the USB-Stick is not mounted automatically, so I mounted it
manually to /media/usb0. Found that a good idea, but still no success.

Thanks for your report.
Closing as it's an installation report.
Feel free to test and report any issues against the current debian
installer release (Squeeze Beta2) which supports more hardware and also
it's improved.

Melhores cumprimentos/Best regards,

Miguel Figueiredo
