Bug#510422: marked as done (tasksel: Schould switch back to xdm for XFCE and maybe also for LXDE tasks)

regarding tasksel: Schould switch back to xdm for XFCE and maybe also for LXDE tasks

This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with.

Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith.

In Jan 2007 the Xfce desktop task was changed to use gdm instead of xdm 
because of #407342. However, that bug has long since been fixed.

The task should probably be changed back to use xdm as that better matches 
the character of the desktop.

Not sure if the same is true for the LXDE desktop task.

Also not sure whether or not this should be postponed until after lenny.

I talked this over with Corsac, and there was no desire for xdm
in the xfce task for squeeze. lightdm might be an option post-squeeze
(and once gdm is gone for gdm3, something lighter will certianly be
needed).
