While the USB port is the main network interface of the Neo Freerunner (along with the buggy wireless that's unusable in many situations), the USB port can be used for many other things. g_ether is not really a device driver, but a USB gadget module, like g_filestorage (that provides USB Mass Storage), and other things like that. So, you have a wide choice of modules, and I'm not aware of anything to switch between them. Regards, Thibaut Girka.
