Comments/Problems:i did the gui install very nice
but i had a problem with the question : clock congiguration UTC ? i don't know what to answer was the
check flag a YES or was it a NO after install i noticed that debian screwed my clock setting to UTC times instead of local time.

i check for the default desktop after install i notised that this was gnome i prefere KDE and had to install it afterward

in the gui install it took some time time to get used to the fact that in details ( shell menu ) i had to answer questions this was not obvious upfront it took a long time ( more than 30 minutes ) to discovere this problem after that no problems at all, but a newbie could be looking in the dark and thinking the instalation has stalled.

install works great
Wacom Intuos 2 works in conjuction with logitech wheel mouse.
wacom pen workt
philips pcv740k webcam lights up but doesn't screw up the usb bus anymore great plus.

network:works better , debian stable has a problem with dual boot with winxp.
After warm reboot from winxp debian was not able to configure the network properly.
This problem seems to be solved now with sid on my system i can warm reboot to debian now and get an working intenet connection.

3d ATI acceleration not tested - this was a great problem in debian stable

video resolution of 1900x1200 works great.

in the gui install it would be great for example to combine certain quistions for example
localisation : time and language in one template.

i selected non free packedges but after install i could not select acrobat reader \
i know that kde or gnome have pdf reader with a tested they have greatly improved butthey lack some of the small featured witch acrobat has.
acrobat reader is a killer application for me without it linux is only 50% functional.
i have to sort out if a can install this program via apt or via the adobe site program download.

just my 0.02 cents

Jan Beldman

We are closing this installation report for one of the following
reasons:
- it was reported with a pre-lenny version of Debian
  Installer.
- indications in the installation report give the feeling that
the reported problem waslying in another software, unrelated to
D-I, which we can't easily identify.
- indications in the installation report suggest that it may have been
fixed in a more recent version of a D-I component
- it was successful and we forgot closing it..:-)
- it has no information we consider useful

The D-I team is currently in the process of cleaning out the old spool
of installation reports that haven't bene processed yet.

In case you think that the problem you reported has chances to be
still present, please reiterate your installation test with
a more recent image of D-I, if you're in position of doing this.

You'll find daily builds at
http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer. We recommend you choose
the netboot image, in the "daily builds section", then choose to
install "squeeze" when prompted.

If some problems are found, please report them with a new bug sent
against installation-reports.

Many thanks for your understanding and your help improving Debian,
past and present.
