Comments/Problems:

Overall I was very pleased. Nice work guys!

There were some minor things that could be improved:

o The Readme.html on the root of the CD had some broken links. I didn't
check all of them but the two I noticed were the links to the
installation manual and to the release notes.

o When it asks you to pick a domain name, it says for a home network you
can make something up. I chose to leave it blank, which seems like a
better option for the typical cable modem user. If this is indeed the
right thing to do, then that should be explained as an option.

o I had to resize a FAT32 partition for my setup. The first screen you
get in this process is a blank, blue screen while it does some initial
scan of the hard drive. Would have been nice to have an informational
message to let you know what it was doing -- otherwise it
kinda looks like a hang, except that the hard drive is busy.

o The resize partition screen where you choose the new size is a bit
confusing. It isn't clear that the size it is asking for is what you
want to shrink the old partition to, instead of what the new partition
should be.  Also, the percentage option is probably not worth offering;
the explanation was awkward, and I imagine nearly everybody just edits
the number of gigabytes.

Status: install ok installed
Priority: extra
Section: debian-installer
Installed-Size: 328
Maintainer: Parted Maintainer Team <parted-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org>
Version: 1.7.1-2.1
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.6-6), libuuid1-udeb
Provides: libparted1.7-1
Description: The GNU Parted disk partitioning shared library
GNU Parted is a program that allows you to create, destroy,
resize, move and copy hard disk partitions. This is useful
for creating space for new operating systems, reorganising
disk usage, and copying data to new hard disks. This package
contains the Parted binary and manual page.
 .
This package contains libparted, the required shared library
used by Parted. This is a cut-down package with no normal
documentation intended to be used in debian-installer.
 .
Parted currently supports DOS, Mac, Sun, BSD, GPT, MIPS and
PC98 disklabels/partition tables, as well as a 'loop' (raw
disk) type which allows use on RAID/LVM. Filesystems which
are currently fully supported are ext2, ext3, fat (FAT16
and FAT32), ReiserFS (with libreiserfs) and linux-swap.
Parted can also detect and remove HFS (Mac OS), JFS, NTFS,
UFS (Sun and HP), XFS and ASFS/AFFS/APFS (Amiga) filesystems,
but cannot create, resize or check these filesystems yet.
 .
Note that ReiserFS support is only enabled if you install
the libreiserfs0.3-0 package. Since libreiserfs0.3-0 has been
removed from sarge, ReiserFS support is not compiled in the
 default package.
 .
The nature of this software means that any bugs could cause
massive data loss. While there are no known bugs at the moment,
they could exist, so please back up all important files before
running it, and do so at your own risk.

Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.6-6)
Description: lib for parsing cmdline parameters
Popt was heavily influenced by the getopt() and getopt_long() functions,
but it allows more powerful argument expansion. It can parse arbitrary
argv[] style arrays and automatically set variables based on command
line arguments. It also allows command line arguments to be aliased via
configuration files and includes utility functions for parsing arbitrary
strings into argv[] arrays using shell-like rules.

Provides: loop-aes-modules
Description: loop-AES encryption modules for kernel 2.6.16-2-486-di
This package contains the loop-AES loadable Linux kernel modules
 compiled for kernel 2.6.16-2-486-di
 .
loop-AES can be used to encrypt disk partitions, removable media,
swap space and other devices. It provides measures to strengthen
the encryption: Passphrase seeds, multiple hash iterations, MD5 IV
and use of alternating encryption keys.
 .
Encryption keys can be stored in a GnuPG-encrypted keyfile, which
allows the passphrase to be changed without re-encryption. Keyfiles
can also be encrypted asymmetrically for multi-user access.
 .
This package includes the cipher modules blowfish, twofish and
serpent in addition to the default cipher (AES).
 .
If you compiled a custom kernel, you will most likely need to
compile a custom version of these modules as well. The package
loop-aes-source has been provided for this purpose.

- it was reported with a pre-lenny version of Debian
  Installer.
- indications in the installation report give the feeling that
the reported problem waslying in another software, unrelated to
D-I, which we can't easily identify.
- indications in the installation report suggest that it may have been
fixed in a more recent version of a D-I component
- it was successful and we forgot closing it..:-)
- it has no information we consider useful

The D-I team is currently in the process of cleaning out the old spool
of installation reports that haven't bene processed yet.

In case you think that the problem you reported has chances to be
still present, please reiterate your installation test with
a more recent image of D-I, if you're in position of doing this.

You'll find daily builds at
http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer. We recommend you choose
the netboot image, in the "daily builds section", then choose to
install "squeeze" when prompted.

If some problems are found, please report them with a new bug sent
against installation-reports.

Many thanks for your understanding and your help improving Debian,
past and present.
