Translated to the English - http://babelfish.altavista.com Despite itens above being marked as successful, at some moments of the installation, the Debian Instaler did not functioned as it would have. 1) Once the module of the net card was not loaded, as it showed lsmod in tty2, the component of net configuration (netcfg) was not activated automatically by the Debian Instaler, having that to be loaded manually through the option in the menu to load components of the installer. 2) Problems in the BASE-CONFIG a) In the installation where the net was not configured, after the restart of the system, the base-conf try to download the security updates and after that, shows the acknowledgment that was not possible make the updates and when click in OK to continue, the system freeze. I enter in tty2 and I ask for lsmod and see that he was loaded the module of the net card (sis900) however when I type ifconfig, is not shown no configuration of net. To give to continuity the installation, I had to press Ctrl+C and ENTER. b) In another attempt of installation, where I asked for to load the component to configure the net card, it connects in the site Debian and download the security updates. After download the updates, the system freeze and only continues the installation when I press Ctrl+C and ENTER. After this operation, the changes between the menus are delayed. 3) In the Woody, when the APT searchs packages in the CD, it mounts the CD automatically. In sarge I have to type mount - t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /cdrom to be able to install packages of the CD. 4) it was not added the entrances of the cdrw (/dev/hdc) and the dvd (/dev/hdd) in /etc/fstab. We are closing this installation report for one of the following reasons: - it was reported with a pre-lenny version of Debian Installer. - indications in the installation report give the feeling that the reported problem waslying in another software, unrelated to D-I, which we can't easily identify. - indications in the installation report suggest that it may have been fixed in a more recent version of a D-I component - it was successful and we forgot closing it..:-) - it has no information we consider useful The D-I team is currently in the process of cleaning out the old spool of installation reports that haven't bene processed yet. In case you think that the problem you reported has chances to be still present, please reiterate your installation test with a more recent image of D-I, if you're in position of doing this. You'll find daily builds at http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer. We recommend you choose the netboot image, in the "daily builds section", then choose to install "squeeze" when prompted. If some problems are found, please report them with a new bug sent against installation-reports. Many thanks for your understanding and your help improving Debian, past and present.
