Comments/Problems:
On my first boot I tried to use the linux26 kernel option, however when
I did this it would only get to the keyboard phase before a segmentation
fault showed up and trashed the install
Switching back to the default options for boot resulted in a sucessful install
The reboot of the computer was a failure, when prompted to remove the media
and press ok the computer attempted to restart. However, at this point the
computer did everything consistant with a reboot except for the part where
it actually starts working (sorry for the bad description).
I depressed the power buttton for the four seconds required to turn off
the computer and when I powered up the system from the off state there
were no problems.
I am not sure if an error occured with the installation of the bootloader
it gave no error messages and the computer booted fine, however when I
installed Sarge on another computer 2 days ago there was a nice splashscreen
when the computer got to the grub menu.
Overall I am really impressed with the new installer, it is so much less
painful that the one used to install Woody, after having gone through
4 different installations with Woody this installer was a great relief
and it was so much fun I ended up installing Debian over my Gentoo
installation.

We are closing this installation report for one of the following
reasons:
- it was reported with a pre-lenny version of Debian
Installer.
- indications in the installation report give the feeling that
the reported problem waslying in another software, unrelated to
D-I, which we can't easily identify.
- indications in the installation report suggest that it may have been
fixed in a more recent version of a D-I component
- it was successful and we forgot closing it..:-)
- it has no information we consider useful
The D-I team is currently in the process of cleaning out the old spool
of installation reports that haven't bene processed yet.
In case you think that the problem you reported has chances to be
still present, please reiterate your installation test with
a more recent image of D-I, if you're in position of doing this.
You'll find daily builds at
http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer. We recommend you choose
the netboot image, in the "daily builds section", then choose to
install "squeeze" when prompted.
If some problems are found, please report them with a new bug sent
against installation-reports.
Many thanks for your understanding and your help improving Debian,
past and present.
