Comments/Problems:

<Description of the install, in prose, and any thoughts, comments
and ideas you had during the initial install.>

I used the "simple" partitioning scheme, selecting the 'Erase entire disk'
followed by 'Desktop machine'. This created the partitions as described
above, with partition 6 mounted on /home directory.

Installation went fine, through task selection for software downloading. I
chose 'Desktop Env' and 'SQL database'. After downloading the package files,
the root filesystem was at 42% usage. Somewhere during the install of the
packages, the root got full. The installer returned to the install software
selection.

I was able to recover by copying /usr content to /home, editing /etc/fstab
to mount /dev/sda6 on /usr, umounting /home and mounting /usr. And, forcing
the installer to go back to Time/Time Zone setup, thus repeating some of the
basic setup and install. Fortunately, apt/dpkg are able to recognize that a
partial install was completed and picked up where things got left off.

After completing the installation, the /usr filesystem is at 39% used, for
2409656 KB used. It's clear that the initial allocation to / of 1823346 is
not enough to support the install I did.

I'd suggest either making / larger or dividing up the remainder between
/usr and /home and having 3 filesystems configured.

Install logs and other status info is available in /var/log/debian-installer/.
I've attached these files, but not the two files in .../cdebconf/, if you need
them let me know.

Once you have filled out this report, mail it to submit@bugs.debian.org.

We are closing this installation report for one of the following
reasons:
- it was reported with a pre-lenny version of Debian
  Installer.
- indications in the installation report give the feeling that
the reported problem waslying in another software, unrelated to
D-I, which we can't easily identify.
- indications in the installation report suggest that it may have been
fixed in a more recent version of a D-I component
- it was successful and we forgot closing it..:-)
- it has no information we consider useful

The D-I team is currently in the process of cleaning out the old spool
of installation reports that haven't bene processed yet.

In case you think that the problem you reported has chances to be
still present, please reiterate your installation test with
a more recent image of D-I, if you're in position of doing this.

You'll find daily builds at
http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer. We recommend you choose
the netboot image, in the "daily builds section", then choose to
install "squeeze" when prompted.

If some problems are found, please report them with a new bug sent
against installation-reports.

Many thanks for your understanding and your help improving Debian,
past and present.
