                squeeze CD which is mounted on /cdrom has same d-i and
kernel version which i am running i.e 2.6.30-bpo.1-486 but then also i
am getting error as  No kernel modules were found. This probably is
due to a mismatch between the kernel used by this version of the
installer and the kernel version available in the archive.

equal version means e.g. really equal: 2.6.30-3-486 and 2.6.30-3-486
this is not equal: 2.6.30-bpo.1-486 and 2.6.30-3-486

the way live-installer-launcher launches debian-installer involves that it displays some warnings if the version don't exactely match, see #570811. i'm closing this one in favour of the other, as this bug doesn't give anything new.
