Bug#546402: additional infromation
I had an Adaptec 29160N attached to the original system. On a hunch, I removed
it.
The debian 5.0 system that previously would not boot, then boot without
problem!
It still gave the error message:
"ACPI:Expecting a [Reference] package element, found type 0"
but it was non-fatal and the system went on to boot!
So the problem with this system hang was the 29160N!
the 29160 did not cause any problems for opensuse 11.1 however!
the smolt profile, referered to in the original message has been updated to
reflect the abscence of the 29160N!
