Thanks. I don't see anything in this that could be relevant for #558686.
I was mainly looking for some indication of swap activation, but nothing.

There is one thing you may want to look at:
Nov 29 16:34:26 base-installer: Reading package lists...
Nov 29 16:34:26 kernel: [ 1096.873618] cdrom[11601]: segfault at 3d4 ip 00007fafb3f54e41
   sp 00007fff39fe5850 error 4 in ld-2.10.1.so[7fafb3f42000+1d000]
Nov 29 16:34:26 kernel: [ 1096.875710] cdrom[11602]: segfault at 3d4 ip 00007fe8da4b1e41
   sp 00007fff61d048e0 error 4 in ld-2.10.1.so[7fe8da49f000+1d000]

There are a *lot* of these segfaults in your log while packages are being
installed in the chroot for the target system. Looks like it could be an
issue in apt-cdrom or something.

I'm fairly sure it's unrelated to the installer itself as the failing
commands are all run in a chroot. If you cannot reproduce it on your
installed system, you can probably forget about it.

Cheers,
FJP
