In the d-i manual for powerpc I found (Chapter 4.4.1):
"Download and unstuff the BootX distribution, available from
http://penguinppc.org/projects/bootx/, or in the
dists/woody/main/disks-powerpc/current/powermac directory on
Debian http/ftp mirrors and official Debian CDs."
The mentioned directory on debian mirrors does not exist anymore
(since Sarge), at least not on all mirrors. (Most mirrors contain
stable and oldstable, but not older, right?)
Maybe we should give the url to archive.debian.org, where _all_
old debian distributions can be found?
And change the hint about the CD to "BootX is contained on Debian
Woody CDs" ?

"Use Stuffit Expander to extract it from its archive. Within the
package, there is an empty folder called Linux Kernels. Download
linux.bin and ramdisk.image.gz from the
disks-powerpc/current/powermac folder, and place them in the
Linux Kernels folder. Then place the Linux Kernels folder in the
active System Folder."
The mentioned directory "disks-powerpc/..." does not exist on
actual stable mirrors.
I don't know where that files are stored now (see below).
And: I don't understand the last sentence. Maybe I am missing some
knowledgement about powerpc architecture, but I wouldn't know what I had to
do with the Linux Kernel folder. (Copy to / ?)
In the d-i manual for alpha I found (Chapter 4.2.1.1):
"Unfortunately, these MILO images could not be tested and might
not work for all subarchitectures. If you find it doesn't work for
you, try copying the appropriate MILO binary onto the floppy
(ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/squeeze/main/disks-alpha/current/MILO/).
The mentioned directory ../disks-alpha/.. does not exist.
(is this paragraph actual? MILO is not supported anymore, right?)
In the past (Woody and earlier) there were such directories
existing for each architecture named "disks-<arch>".
Today they don't exist anymore. Where has the content been
moved?
