Bug#537167: hanging during installation i386 4.0 r6

Package: installation-reports

Dear Debian Experts

I have 2 questions first is the install problem i have listed below.

The 2nd question is what is the best possible DVD Release of Debian for a Multi-Processor  Intel - type system.( intel core-2 quad, 2.66mhz, 64bit)
3GBram, 2-500GB HDD.

(we downloaded the i386 4.0 r6 but this might not be the best choice for what we have). Can you give a link to the proper Debian
system for our needs.

please advise
