Yes, there are technical reasons for the change but I don't think this 
change is legaly allowed.  For example according to the Bulgarian law 
credits of the authors can not be removed even in the extreme case -  when
the author transfers the whole copyright.  And no law in the world  would
permit SPI to be pointed as copiright holder of the work of Helge,
Matthias and the other translators without their explicit (not implicit)
permission.

So basicly there are only two options:

1. To find some technical solution that acknowledges that Matthias, Helge
and the other translators are copyright holders of their work

2. To initiate a new translation from scratch, abandoning all current 
translations of console-setup.
