Package: libc6-udeb
Severity: grave
Version: 2.9-3

Started up a netboot unstable installer by accident and directly after
libc6-udeb version 2.9-3 has been downloaded (and probably unpacked),
busybox' wget segfaults:

[...]

Feb 26 14:48:27 anna[3697]: DEBUG: retrieving libc6-udeb 2.9-3

Feb 26 14:48:27 anna[3697]: Segmentation fault
Feb 26 14:48:27 anna[3697]: WARNING **: package retrieval failed

(Manually copied these lines from the screen of the machine where it
happened by reading and typing, i.e. no cut & paste, so those lines
may contain typos.)

If I press "retry" in the dialog, this happens over and over
again. Can't continue the installation. Also rebooting and starting
the (preseeded) installation from scratch new doesn't help and stops
at the same point.

If I press "cancel" in the dialog and choose "download installer
components" again, it segfaults on the first package it tries to
download.

I tried it on the command line, too. But equal what I try to download,
it segfaults. Displaying the help message by just calling "wget"
works. (Which is no wonder if it segfaults in the resolver lib. :-)

P.S.: I know this is a quite incomplete bug report, but if I don't
report it now, I'll report it never. Next I'll fix our netboot d-i
image not fetching unstable udebs. But I'll try to keep a copy of the
previous config so that I can provide further information about this
issue on request.

OK. CLosing, then. And I'll clean out the Today wiki page.
