When trying to create a logical volume, the debian-installer fails.
I can install without LVM, and later create a LVM logical volumes
without problems.

it is the rc1 of lenny. lvcreate is the program that fails.

Sorry for replying so late to your bug report, bug I didn't see it
when it came in.

As suspected, the problem is that lvcreate runs out of memory and the
process is therefore killed.  There's nothing we can do about this -
the NSLU2 has only 32 MB RAM and is therefore quite limited.  Creating
the LVM volume later is the correct thing to do in this case.

I'm afraid there's no better solution.
