Comments/Problems:I had a problem with the cdrom hanging
during tasksel; I went to another terminal ran telinit 1 to
unhang the cdrom and returned to the install ok. I'm not
sure if this is hardware or software.

<Description of the install, in prose, and any thoughts, comments
and ideas you had during the initial install.>
The installer was very different from Woody but after a few
installs I came to appreciate it. The guided partitioning is
a nice touch and I used it to install the 2.4 kernel on an
old IBM Aptiva to use as a Samba server .I also have the
2.4 installation on the gateway machine (an unknown
throwtogether with a k6-II processor) with wwwoffle and
shorewall installed and finally the Woody 2.2 on a 486
machine as an intranet webserver . All these machines were
given to me and I obtained debian with jigdo, the total
cost of my home network is zero!
Install logs and other status info is available in
/var/log/debian-installer/.
