Comments/Problems:

Everything worked just fine. I think the installer (text-mode, not graphical) did a great job. I installed Lenny on a slave drive and it detected Etch on the master drive without problems.
My impression was that the process was faster than on other occasions. In short I'll try installing it on my laptop. I'll report. Congratulations!!!
