Longstanding known issue I'm afraid. See:

Well, users are supposed to be able to find the installation guide and 
hardcoding such stuff in the installer itself would make it less useful 
for derived distributions. In our opinion the website has sufficient 
links, which will of course be further improved when Lenny is released.
