You made me think is that someone writing a hook needs to have
knowledge about d-i and in case of problems, we can mark them as:
- d-i bug: if this is a default hook script
- user mistake: if the user provided a hook script that has a failure
partman has the same potential to be broken (I did it when doing a
derivative) and we all like the flexibility that partman gives to us.
