Bug#462633: tasksel hangs on etch during xorg configuration
Package: tasksel
Version: 2.66
Severity: normal
Hello,
I've attempted to add a desktop task via tasksel on
a qemu session of Etch which hung during xorg configuration.
I've attached the output of pstree and ps -eaf. I've also
attached the typescript file. Please let me know if the output
of any /proc/<pid> information for any of the relevant tasks
would be helpfull.
Possibly related, I also noticed that eth0 did not have an IP
assigned anymore. eth0 was not configured as "auto" by default so
I'm guessing that some configuration script running ifdown/ifup -a
could be responsible.
Thank you very much for you attention!
David Ayers
PS: My previous issues (391356) with tasksel on Lenny seem to have
been solved after another full-upgrade inspite the fact that I was
already using the most recent tasksel 2.71..
