installer fails to use onboard graphics on AMD Geode LX800 board
Hello,
I have a single board computer with a Kontron ETX board
featuring an LX800 (Geode) CPU.
the installer at
http://people.debian.org/~joeyh/d-i/images/daily/netboot/netboot.tar.gz
as of 28-Nov-2008 10:14 fails to use the display:
boot is ok, startup messages are shown up to the point where
the first screen of the installer should appear. The screen
goes mostly white, no characters whatsoever. Working via a
serial console works fine.
Same problem with lenny RC1.
The problem does not exist with the etch installer.
I have tried the switches "fb=false" "vga=vesa" "vga=ask"
but not found a working combination
Any hints what to look for? IMHO could be a kernel issue
rather than a d-i problem.
