While I agree that a chooser for the ESSID to use should be shown (also in 
default mode), _if_ there is more than one ESSID visible, I wish to state 
that installing Debian over wireless is not security risk. Unless you 
consider gpg signed package checksums (with md5, so there is a risk...) a 
risk :)

Unless, you pxeboot the installer over wireless, but this is supported by very 
few hardware only ;-)
