Package: mountmedia Version: 0.18 As check-missing-firmware and also mountmedia are currently written, the scripts will stop looking as soon as they have found _any_ file with the extention .deb, .udeb or .ude. This means that if there is some mountable location in the list returned by list-devices that contains some random package in its root directory while the firmware actually is on some other medium which comes later in the list, the firmware will not be found. The same probably goes for loading drivers. Possibly it would be better to either display a list of devices to the user and let him explicitly select the device to use. That would also avoid that we attempt to mount any random already discovered device in the system. We've already seen in #417407 that this can be harmful. Problem with that option is how to display the list with (localized!) descriptions that are at least somewhat meaningful to users.
