Base System Installation Checklist:
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it

Initial boot: [O]
Detect network card: [O]
Configure network: [O]
Detect CD: [O]
Load installer modules: [O]
Detect hard drives: [E]
Partition hard drives: [O]
Install base system: [O]
Clock/timezone setup: [O]
User/password setup: [O]
Install tasks: [O]
Install boot loader: [O]
Overall install: [O]

With virtio, the hard disk wasn't detected. After udpkg -i .../virtio-modules-2.6.26-1-amd64-di*,
the rest went fine (including automatic detection).
With scsi or ide, everything went fine.

Another problem (with scsi and virtio) was that kvm didn't like to boot from
that kind of media, but that's kvm bug #497214.

(And a final bit, it would be great if there would be an installation medium
that would work with the curses-only interface of kvm, i.e. uses only linux
text mode.)
