question about d-i preseed

hello everybody

i would like to know if it is possible to configure a package after 
installation with pressed file.
Can i copy a file from a directory...

For exemple :
If i decide to install the puppet package, i would like to configuration 
its  files with my own parameters.
The configuration is not done by debconf, it's not possible to use 
default answer.
So is a mechanism can put a file (local or network) at the right place 
on the installed host at the and of the installation (the finish script)

it could be interesting to be able to configure some files , given a 
location on the network with default files configuration.
