Package: partman
Severity: normal

Progress bars are useful to let users know that installation
is not frozen, but there is no reason to mix progress bars
and normal questions.
This induces some display glitches with the text frontend which
cannot easily be fixed, and similar problems will certainly arise
with other frontends.

I'm closing this old bug report because I don't think we have any
unresolved issues with asking debconf questions while a progress bar is
up.

Due to the design of other parts of d-i implemented since this bug
report was filed, there are many situations where that has to be done.
For example, d-i needs to prompt for a CD change or forward a debconf
question asked by a package while pkgsel is running.

If you disagree or know of some problem that still exists, this bug
could be reopened and assigned to cdebconf..
