A test installation was made using 5 CDs of the current Lenny snapshot.
The test machine was not connected to a network.
The installation process started well and cdset scanned the 5 disks.
When cdset was closed CD1 was asked for.
CD1 was then asked for a second time.
At this stage CD1 was asked for repeatedly when return was hit.
The CD could not be ejected by normal means.
A second tty was opened and the <eject> command worked.
The drive then became active, the CD reinserted and the installation was completed.

Architecture: i386 (i686)

Locale: LANG=en_NZ.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_NZ.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8)

Thanks for confirming. I've also made an additional change in the installer 
after the release that should help to make using CDs in general more 
robust. I think we can therefore close this report.

Right. That's also what's now documented in the installation guide.
