True. Actually there are two flavours, 4kc-malta for 32-bit kernels, and
5kc-malta for 64-bit kernels.

Those flavours will replace the qemu flavour that will be removed in
kernel 2.6.24, now that QEMU emulates real hardware correctly.

Yes, they are available. 4kc-malta is available in the official Debian
kernel package since version 2.6.21, and 5kc-malta since version 2.6.23.
