What I understand from it:

| There was a XFCE CDROM installed,
| but there was no XFCE on it.
| It has GNOME, but that is too heavy for the hardware


There report misses where the (wrongly? labeled) CDROM was acquired.
Neither there was information what is expected from this mailinglist.
