Machine: Whitebox with an ASUS P4B motherboard and Dell PERC 3/DCL (AMI
MegaRAID) hardware RAID controller

Memory: 1.5 GB
Partitions: 128 GB on logical disk 1 (sda) for /boot

Swap, /tmp, /, /home, /var, /usr and another partition are all lvm volumes on
an lvm group on sdb1_crypt which is an encrypted volume on sdb1 (which uses
the entire logical volume).

Output of lspci -nn and lspci -vnn:

Comments/Problems:

During base system install console-data pops up a dialog with a technical
dialogue about keymaps. This is supposed to be handled by the initial
language and keymap question in the installer, so I suspect a new option or
other preseeding problem.

In any event the keymap question during base install is annoying since it
means the install cannot complete until it is answered and it is somewhat
confusing to determine what option should be selected as the default (don't
touch keymap, use /xxx/console) is different than the recommended option
(show arch keymaps).

The reason for the error for the overall install is submitted as a separate
bug report since it is completely unrelated.

 kbd-chooser (1.39) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * After recent changes in apt-install, we need to tell console-data not to
display its keymap/policy question when it is being installed during a D-I
installation. console-data (>= 2:1.04-2) will check for the existence of
the file /tmp/debian-installer/keymap-policy-default to suppress the
question; create that file in /target before calling apt-install.
The temporary directory will be removed during finish-install (95umount).
     Closes: #456029.
