Package: anna Version: 1.28 During CD-based installations, for example when additional file system kernel modules are loaded for os-prober, the following messages will be logged: anna-install: Installing ntfs-modules anna[21921]: DEBUG: resolver (kernel-image-2.6.22-3-486-di): package doesn't exist (ignored) Reason is that the udeb for kernel-image-2.6.22-3-486-di is not included on the CD (for space reasons). Thus the udeb is _not_ listed in /var/cache/anna/Packages.default. The fact that anna complains is still a bit strange as the udeb is of course already included in the initrd and is also listed in /var/lib/dpkg/status: Package: kernel-image-2.6.22-3-486-di Status: install ok unpacked Version: 1.57 Provides: kernel-image, ext2-modules Description: Linux kernel binary image for the Debian installer Note that the status is "unpacked" and not "installed". I checked whether changing the status to installed in the dpkg status file made any difference, but it did not. anna should probably check the status of a package before looking for it in the repository. Possibly also some process (at D-I image build time?) should change the status of udebs from "unpacked" to "installed", but only for those that don't have a menu item (or don't have a postinst maybe?).
