Explication du problème:
En utilisant la distribution Debian Sarge 3.1r5 sur DVD (téléchargé depuis BitTorrent) j'ai tenté d'installer celui-ci
sur un ordinateur Dell Dimension 8100 (Pentium IV 1.3 Ghz @ 512 MB RAM et 80 GB HDD IDE). J'ai utilisé la méthode
"standard" (non-expert) avec le noyau 2.6. En utilisant linux26, sur la ligne de commande BOOT. Je ne sais pas si ce
problème se limite à la version sur DVD ou bien est également avec les CD ou le NET-Install également.
L'installation s'est fait normallement jusqu'au premier redémarrage. Après avoir redémarré, je me suis rendu compte que
l'installateur avait décidé d'installer le noyau "kernel-image-2.6.8-3-k7-smp.deb" et c'était le seul choix possible
depuis Grub. J'ai tenté de lancer mon ordinateur avec ce noyau... mais évidemment ça ne fonctionne pas.

J'ai quand même réussi à contourner le problème de 2 manières différentes:
1- En utilisant le noyau 2.4 par défaut, puis ensuite en installant avec apt-get le noyau 2.6.6-3-686.
2- En utilisant le mode expert26 au-lieu de linux26 qui me permet de choisir mon noyau durant les étapes d'installation.

Je ne trouve pas normal que la détection du processeur, via le mode linux26, ne se fasse pas correctement. J'ai donc
décidé de vous transmettre ce problème même si j'ai trouvé une alternative pour le moment.

* For the kernel ABI change in Sarge 3.1r3 we should also have updated the
default values for debian-installer/kernel/image* in rootskel. Because
this was missed, incorrect kernels are now being selected on some
architectures. Correcting this in rootskel would mean rebuilding D-I,
which we'd like to avoid. As an alternative solution we correct the
default in base-installer after reading it. Closes: #412909.
