Seems like an interesting challenge.

My gutt feeling says to play video drivers (enable or disable them during build)

That is based on my assumption that the frozen system is actual a system
that did switch video mode. ( it does sends a video signal to another
connector ( or the monitor can't cope with the signal on the single
video connector that the Sparc has ))



Does your Sparc have multiple video cards?
