Weekly snapshots are *not* the daily builds. T ochek the issue out, you should indeed use one of the daily built images you'll find from http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer It may even be possible that you have to try installing *unstable* instead of *testing* to check that the issue has been solved or not.
